Ashes 2010: England romp home in Sydney

It’s lovely to be able to write an article to congratulate the England cricket team yet again!

An amazing achievement saw England retain the Ashes and emphatically defeat the Australians 3-1 in their own back yard.  Love it!

Captain Andrew Strauss can rightly be proud of himself and his team and they deserve all the plaudits they get.  And remember, it wasn’t just 3 wins, but 3 wins each by an innings. That’s something else!

If all the action and the scenes of supporters celebrating in Sydney has whetted your appetite to visit Australia, then look no further than Destinology as your ideal travel partner.

Our Australia tours and excursions are the best way to experience the many facets of this exhilarating country from Perth on the West coast to Ayers Rock right in the middle and over to Sydney on the East side.  Choose from train, coach or self drive.

Personally, it’s always been a dream of mine to take in the Brisbane and Sydney tests and drive between the two, visiting little coastal towns like Port Macquarie along the way.

Or perhaps when you think of Australia, you don’t think of cricket opportunities and cities like Adelaide, but instead you think of the Whitsundays and the mesmerising natural beauty of places like Hamilton Island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. These are accessible from Cairns, itself a fine destination in its own right.

Destinology can arrange all types of trips to Australia according to your budget.

It may be that you’re planning on taking a year out to go backpacking. Imagine, you’ve been backpacking for 6 months and staying in basic accommodation for the whole time, well, how about booking somewhere luxurious for 3 or 4 nights to really look forward to and break up your trip?

You can do it all in advance by picking up the phone or enquiring online.

I’ll get there eventually one day myself, but for now I’ll continue to tell anyone who’ll listen that one day, it will be me sat there drinking beer in the Sydney sunshine.
